Every devotional starts with a little story of the author and her little son (which is often so easy to identify with when you have a toddler yourself!) then a prayer and some ideas for journaling if you are interested. The book is simple yet profound, lighthearted yet heart-warming. I usually have barely enough energy left for anything after a long and crazy day of work, house chores, and keeping up my son who is ever the energizer bunny. This book reminds me what a precious blessing my child is and helps me interact with him with gentleness, warmth, and kindness rather than pulling my hair out and losing what is left of little patience at his stubbornness or tantrums. It draws the connection between the relationship I have with my son as a parent with the one I have with God in such a way that makes my relationship with both my son and God deeper. It was an OK book. There wasn't a lot of substance to it, but there were cute stories in it.
I cannot say enough good things about this devotional. I was hooked after reading page one. I love how the author translates the most mundane of mom tasks into instances of Godly praise and joy. She makes me laugh and even cry when appropriate. This has been a great tool for deepening my walk with God and opening my eyes to the beauty of motherhood (even when it doesn't feel like it). The journaling ideas as well as the short ending prayer for each day are spot on and really help to focus my thinking. It's so relatable that I often feel like she's read my mind or had cameras installed in my house! I appreciate that it's a quick read as parents usually have very little time to spare. I'm Always excited to pick up this book when I have 10-15 minutes to spend with the text and my thoughts. I recommend this book to every mother I know. I will surely be reading it for years to come
This book is full of great little tidbits relating motherhood and parenting to things God is trying to teach us. )

I have really been enjoying this devotional. It's a quick read over breakfast in the am to set my day off to a good start and get my mind focused on the things above and more in tune with my kiddos and the ministry of motherhood.
Wow, it's like she lives in my home and writes about it! Every single day I am surprised at how much I can relate to her situations with her child. At first it was great to know that I wasn't the only one dealing with these insane feelings of being a mother to a toddler and all that goes along with it, but then the way she took those circumstances and turned them into a way to evaluate our own lives was utterly astounding. In reality, even as adults, we aren't much better than toddlers in how we behave sometimes. This book has been such a blessing for me at the end of my tiresome days.
